This policy lists every cookie and local storage entry that okscores.com places in your browser, explains what each one is for and shows how you can remove them. It complements our Privacy Notice.
In short
- We use cookies and local storage only to remember your preferences and to protect the site.
- We currently use no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no social media plugins.
- The site keeps working if you block or delete everything listed here; it simply forgets your settings.
1.What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. The browser sends it back to the same website with later requests, which is how a site can remember a setting from one page to the next.
Local storage is a similar memory inside your browser. The difference is that its contents stay in the browser and are not sent to the website automatically. We use it for settings that only your browser needs to know.
2.How we use them
okscores has no accounts, so the only way to remember that you prefer Turkish, the light theme or kick-off times in your own time zone is to store that choice in your browser. Everything we store serves one of two purposes: remembering your preferences or keeping the site secure.
These entries are needed for functions you use or ask for yourself, which is why the site does not show a cookie consent banner. If we ever add cookies that do require consent, such as analytics or advertising cookies, you will be asked before they are set.
3.Cookies we set

These are first-party cookies: they are set by okscores.com and can only be read by okscores.com. They contain a language code or a time zone name and nothing that identifies you.
4.Local storage

When you open the Favorites page, the identifiers of your saved teams and matches are sent to our server once so that it can return their current scores. The list itself is not saved on our side.
5.Cookies from our security provider
Traffic to okscores.com passes through Cloudflare, which protects the site from attacks and automated abuse. To tell real visitors from bots, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies such as __cf_bm (expires after up to 30 minutes) or cf_clearance (set only after a security check). They are not used to track you across websites. Details are in Cloudflare's cookie documentation.
A sign-in cookie exists for our own staff in the administration area. Visitors never receive it.
6.What we do not use
- Advertising or retargeting cookies.
- Analytics cookies that follow individual visitors.
- Social media buttons or embedded widgets that set their own cookies.
- Fingerprinting or other techniques meant to recognise you without cookies.
If this changes, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before any such cookie is set.
7.How to manage or delete them
On the site. Choosing “Automatic” in the time zone menu deletes the okscores_tz cookie. Removing the star from a team or a match removes it from your favorites.
In your browser. Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data, for one site or for all of them. Instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
What happens if you block them. okscores stays fully usable. Kick-off times are still shown in your own time zone, but the list of today's matches may need a moment to adjust to your calendar day, and your language choice, manually selected time zone, theme, favorites and odds preference will not be remembered.
8.Changes to this policy
When we add, change or remove a cookie, we update the tables above and the date at the top of this page.
