Privacy Notice

okscores (“okscores”, “we”, “us”) operates the website okscores.com and its language versions (the “Service”). The Service shows live football scores, fixtures, results, standings, lineups, statistics and a TV schedule.

For the information described here we act as the data controller, which means we decide why and how it is used. You can reach us about privacy at support@okscores.com.

This notice applies to the Service only. Websites that we link to, such as clubs, competitions or broadcasters, have their own privacy practices.

Technical data sent by your browser. Whenever you open a page, your browser sends the usual technical details of a web request: IP address, date and time, the address of the page requested, the referring page, browser and device type, and language settings. Our servers and our network provider process this data to deliver the page and may record it in server logs.

Preferences stored on your device. Your language, time zone, theme, favorites and odds display are saved in your browser through cookies and local storage. The full list is in our Cookie Policy. The name of your time zone (for example “Europe/Istanbul”) travels to our server with each request so that pages show your own calendar day. It does not identify you.

Favorites. Your list of favorite teams and matches lives in your browser. When you open the Favorites page, your browser sends the identifiers of those teams and matches to our server so that we can return their latest scores. We do not save this list in a database or build a profile from it.

Search. Words you type into the site search are sent to our server to find matching teams, competitions and players. We do not link searches to a person.

Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write or attach.

• No user accounts, passwords or profiles: the Service has no registration.
• No payment details: the Service is free and sells nothing to visitors.
• No precise location: your time zone comes from your browser settings, not from GPS or from looking up your IP address.
• No advertising profiles, cross-site tracking or social media plugins.
• No sensitive categories of data such as health, religion or political opinions. Please do not send such information in emails to us.

• To deliver the Service and remember your settings, such as showing pages in your language and time zone. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working website and providing the functions you ask for.
• To keep the Service secure and available, for example by detecting abusive traffic, automated scraping and attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the Service and its visitors.
• To understand overall use, through aggregated figures such as how many times a page was requested. These figures do not identify individual visitors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the Service.
• To answer your messages and deal with corrections, complaints and business enquiries. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you, or steps taken at your request.
• To comply with the law, when a legal obligation requires us to keep or disclose information.

We do not make decisions about you by automated means and we do not profile visitors. If we ever introduce optional features that rely on your consent, such as analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for that consent first and you will be able to withdraw it at any time.

We use a small number of cookies and local storage entries, all of them to remember your preferences or to protect the site. None of them is used for advertising. Names, purposes and lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Policy, together with instructions for deleting them.

We do not sell or rent personal data. Information reaches third parties only in these cases:

• Service providers that work for us: our hosting provider, our content delivery and security network (Cloudflare) and our email provider. They process data on our instructions and only to provide their services.
• Images. All images on the site, including club crests, league badges, country flags and player photos, are stored on and served from our own server. Our server obtains them from our sports data provider; your browser never contacts the provider, so it does not receive your IP address or any other data about you.
• Authorities, when the law requires it or when it is necessary to protect our rights, our visitors or the public.
• A successor, if the Service is ever transferred to another operator. This notice would continue to apply to information collected under it.

Match data flows in one direction only: we receive scores and statistics from our data provider, and we do not send visitor information back.

Our providers operate servers in several countries, and a content delivery network answers from the location closest to you. Your technical data may therefore be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, for example standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.

• Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised, unless we need specific records for longer to investigate abuse or a security incident.
• Preferences on your device stay until they expire or you delete them. Our cookies last 12 months at most. See the Cookie Policy.
• Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless the law requires a longer period or you ask us to delete them sooner.

Depending on the law that applies where you live (for example the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, or the personal data laws of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and other countries), you may have the right to:

• ask whether we hold personal data about you and receive a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data deleted or its use restricted;
• object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests;
• withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
• lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.

To use these rights, write to support@okscores.com. We answer within one month. We may ask for information that lets us confirm the request really comes from you.

Most of what the Service remembers is stored on your own device, so you are in control of it: you can remove favorites on the site, reset the time zone to “Automatic”, and delete all cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any moment.

The Service is a general audience website about football and does not ask anyone for personal details. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, tell us at support@okscores.com and we will delete it.

All pages are served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to our systems is limited to the people who need it, and we keep the amount of personal data we hold deliberately small. No website can promise absolute security, but holding little data is the strongest protection we can offer.

We will update this notice when the Service changes, for example if we add analytics, advertising or user accounts. The date at the top shows the latest revision. When a change is significant, we will make it visible on the site before it takes effect.
