DFB Pokal 2026: table, fixtures and results

The DFB-Pokal is Germany's national cup, organised by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four clubs start in the first round: every side from the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga, the best teams from the 3. Liga and the winners of the regional association cups, which is how amateur clubs earn their big day against professional opposition.

The competition is a straight knockout with six rounds and no second chances. Every tie is a single match, there are no replays, and a draw after ninety minutes means extra time and, if needed, penalties. In the early rounds amateur and lower-division clubs are given home advantage, a rule behind many famous upsets. The final has been played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin every year since 1985, and the winners qualify for the UEFA Europa League and the German Supercup.
