World Cup - Qualification CONCACAF 2026/27: table, fixtures and results

CONCACAF qualifying for the FIFA World Cup covers North America, Central America and the Caribbean. It is organised by CONCACAF, the confederation founded in 1961, and brings together regional heavyweights such as Mexico, the United States, Canada and Costa Rica with Central American sides like Panama and Honduras and a long list of small Caribbean island nations.

The competition is played over several rounds, and the exact structure is redrawn for almost every cycle. Lower-ranked teams usually begin in early rounds or first group stages, while the strongest nations enter later. Everything builds towards a final round played home and away, where the best teams qualify directly for the World Cup and those finishing just behind them move on to the inter-confederation play-off. For many years that final round was a six-team league known as the hexagonal, which became a trademark of football in the region.

It is a high-scoring competition, with 3.12 goals per match on average. Home teams won 46% of matches, 24% were drawn and 30% went to the visitors.
